The Anxiety & Depression Association of America (ADAA) is an international nonprofit organization that works to prevent, treat, and cure anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and co-occurring disorders. On their website, you can find a therapist using their directory of mental health providers, learn about different types of therapy, join a free support community, and more.

 

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Mental Health

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is part of the Department of Health and Human Services and works to protect the public’s health. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is an organization with the goal of building better lives for Americans affected by mental illness. There are several mobile apps available that are designed to help you reduce stress and manage anxiety, including MindShift CBT, Calm, Headspace, and more. MindShift CBT is a free anxiety management app that uses strategies based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you reduce worry, stress, an anxiety. Calm is an app that aims to improve your health and happiness by helping you reduce anxiety or stress, improve sleep quality, and more through meditations and other content. Calm offers free and paid versions. Headspace is another app that aims to improve your health and happiness and help you create healthy habits through meditation and mindfulness content. Headspace is a paid app.
