Company partnered with Prince William County on crisis receiving center complex to address behavioral health needs in Northern Virginia
Connections Health Solutions, the leading innovator in immediate-access behavioral health crisis care, today announced the opening of a new regional crisis receiving center in Woodbridge, Virginia. The center—made possible by funding from Prince William County, the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, and the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Region 2, which includes the Community Services Boards of Alexandra, Arlington, Fairfax-Falls Church, and Loudoun— serves individuals age 12 and older. Easily accessible from major highways and on public transportation routes at 14011 Worth Ave. in Woodbridge, the crisis receiving center is part of the larger Prince William County Crisis Receiving Center Complex, which also includes the county’s community services division.
The crisis receiving center offers immediate, compassionate behavioral health care 24/7/365. With separate entrances for adults and youth ages 12+, services include walk-in behavioral health care, adult and youth 23-hour observation, youth and adult crisis stabilization, and post-acute wrap around care and warm hand-off to appropriate next steps and community services.
“Together with Prince William County and Region 2, we’re expanding upon a new standard of behavioral health care in Northern Virginia, which began with the opening of our Chantilly center in 2024,” shared Colin LeClair, chief executive officer for Connections Health Solutions. “Our Connections model provides high-quality care for people when they need it most, radically improving patient experience and avoiding unnecessary use of emergency departments, jails, and hospitalizations for mental health and substance use emergencies. We are honored to bring the Connections model to more people in need and deeply appreciate the continued collaboration and partnership from Region 2, local and state government, providers, first responders, and community advocates who continue to prioritize the behavioral health needs of their communities.”
The Connections model is recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing as a best practice for behavioral health care. Centered around providing treatment in the safest and least restrictive setting, our multidisciplinary team is comprised of highly skilled behavioral health professionals, including providers, nurses, behavioral health specialists, and recovery support specialists.
Lisa Madron, executive director of Prince William County Community services, shared excitement for the opening of the Prince William County Crisis Receiving Center Complex, stating: “I am thrilled to celebrate the completion of the CRC Complex and our continuing partnership with Connections Health Solutions as we take our next bold step toward transforming crisis care and public behavioral health into a truly human-centered experience. This facility is more than a building; it’s a welcoming place where healing is nurtured, hope is held, and every individual is supported on their journey toward becoming their best self. It marks a new dawn for Greater Prince William and our regional community—one that reflects our shared commitment to quality treatment, safety, innovation, and enduring well-being.”
