Connections' emergency behavioral health crisis walk-in center launches youth services in Harrisburg, PA

Company now serves individuals ages 14+ in need of behavioral health crisis care and treatment in Southcentral Pennsylvania

Connections Health Solutions, the leading innovator of immediate access emergency behavioral healthcare, today announced the launch of youth behavioral health services at its regional emergency behavioral health crisis walk-in center in Harrisburg. The center will now serve youth and adults, ages 14+, providing critical support for mental health and substance use emergencies.

Located at 1100 S. Cameron Street, the walk-in center offers immediate, compassionate care 24/7/365. Services include walk-in behavioral health urgent care, 23-hour crisis stabilization, and access to post-acute crisis support. In addition, a mobile crisis response team, operational since December 4, supports both youth and adults across Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties by bringing care directly to individuals in need.

“With the expansion of our youth services at the Harrisburg walk-in center, we are furthering our mission to provide immediate access to care to all individuals in need,” said Colin LeClair, chief executive officer of Connections Health Solutions. “By offering specialized care for youth, we aim to reduce the reliance on emergency departments, unnecessary hospitalizations, and other costly interventions. We are grateful to the leaders of Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties for their partnership and shared vision of accessible behavioral health care for the Southcentral Pennsylvania community.”

The Harrisburg center follows Connections Health Solutions’ proven treatment model, which is recognized as a best practice by leading behavioral health organizations, including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The approach prioritizes care in the safest and least restrictive setting, ensuring individuals receive the right support at the right time.

The expansion of youth services highlights Connections’ commitment to addressing the diverse needs of the community and delivering care to all, regardless of insurance coverage or severity of the crisis.
